The JVI Spiral Elevator is commonly used in industries where grains, powders, sands, pellets or similar types of material need to be thermally treated or vertically conveyed. The JVI Spiral Elevator is a better choice for the application than a bucket elevators when there is a limited amount of space for new equipment.
Industries that use the Spiral Elevator:
Example Applications:
Plastic Granules- Once created, glass-reinforced plastic granules must be screened and cooled for further processing. After passing through a JVI Screen that removes oversized and agglomerated particles the granules are cooled as they are moved upwards via a spiral elevator with a water cooled conveying path to prevent further agglomeration due to hight temperature.

FeSi - the powder is dryed using a specially designed Spiral Elevator
that has 2 different thermal treatment methods in the single conveying path.
The first 2/3 of the spiral's path is oil
heated to dry the powder, the remaining 1/3 of the path is water cooled
to to bring the powder down to packaging temperature. The powder is conveyed
downwards, from the top of the elevator to ground level.
Shredded
aluminum - material of no more than 4 " grain size is cooled
from 535° F to 212° F via a direct
air current from nozzles pointed
at the product. Air passes through the center of the Spiral and is forced
through the nozzles by
the natural chimney effect.
