Low maintenance, accurate control, realible drives and custom engineered designs are inherent with each JVI feeder. Additionally, there are a variety of standard options that need to be specified for a custom vibratory feeder design. Most options are determined by the application.

Integrated Chutework

An innovative option available for Electromagnetic bin discharge feeders is the integrated chute-work package. The feeder inlet simply bolts to the hopper outlet flange as a single
package. Cumbersome cable supports are eliminated while engineering and installation costs are reduced.

Benefits:

  • No safety cables required
  • Bolts directly to hopper outlet flange
  • Reduced installation and startup costs
  • Safe and stable vibratory feeder operation
  • Ensures proper feeder and chutework clearances
  • Single package – including vibratory feeder, chutework and supports.

Integrated chutework options are available for both electromechanical and electromagnetic vibratory feeders.

Support Options

For small to medium vibratory feeders, depending on the application and installation requirements, there are 4 basic methods to mount vibratory feeders properly via rubber buffers or coils.

a) Foot or base mounting:
In this arrangement the machine is mounted from the bottom on rubber buffers or coil springs. The feeder is typically supported by floor or on an existing structure. The springs or buffers isolate vibration from the supporting structure.

b) Foot or base support at feed end,
suspended support at discharge end:

Bin discharge feeders are typically foot mounted at the feed end. At the discharge end the feeder is usually suspended from the hopper. This frees space below the feeder for other equipment.

c) Suspended mount:
If the floor below the machine must be clear or to install the feeder from a ceiling it is recommended to install the machine by 4 cable supports. In order to avoid ‘swinging’ of the machine, the cables are installed with angle of 5º in each direction, as shown in figure c).

d) Integrated Chutework:
A unique mounting option for bin discharge feeders is JVI’s integrated chutework package. The feeder is integrated to chutework via a special, sturdy support design and bolts directly to the hopper outlet flange.

Isolation Options

Coil Springs provide isolation of vibration
away from the support structures in
heavy duty applications.

Rubber Buffers provide vibration
isolation in light duty applications.
